The I-Cubs got on the board against Buffalo’s bullpen in the sixth, when Levi Jordan clubbed an RBI double to cut their deficit in half. Both teams scored two runs in the eighth to bring a 4-3 game into the ninth.
POSTGAME NOTES:
• Jackson Frazier recorded an RBI single in the eighth inning, extending his hitting streak to a season-long nine straight games. The outfielder has reached base safely in 14 of his last 15 games.
• Iowa’s bullpen allowed just five hits while striking out five over their 6.1 combined innings. They surrendered two unearned runs.
