Woodbridge, VA---On Sunday, July 30th, the Potomac Nationals will give away a 1999 to 2004 Potomac Cannons Replica Throwback Jersey as part of another Kids Day Sunday with entertainment for the whole family at Pfitzner Stadium.
The first 1,000 fans through the gates (500 kids aged 12 and under and 500 adults) to The Pfitz will receive a 1999-2004 Potomac Cannons Replica Throwback Jersey presented by: Dave Stinson's Geico Office.

The P-Nats Sunday 7/30 matchup with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Chicago Cubs) will begin with a 1:05pm first pitch. Gates to The Pfitz will open at 12:00pm.
Every Kids Day Sunday features Kids Eat Free courtesy of Little Caesars! The first 250 kids aged 12 and under will receive a coupon for a free hot dog at the game, while every kid in attendance will receive a coupon for a free pizza to be redeemed at a participating Little Caesars location.
Each of the six seasons represented by the throwback replica jersey giveaway featured rosters including at least one prominent future Major League Baseball player.
In 1999, SS Jack Wilson played in 64 games for Potomac. Wilson, a ninth round pick by the St. Louis Cardinals in 1998, played in 12 seasons in the Majors. The shortstop amassed 61 home runs and 426 RBIs with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Seattle Mariners, and Atlanta Braves.
On the 2000 Potomac Cannons club, a future Hall of Fame member started at third base. Albert Pujols played just one season in the Minors, and spent 21 games with Potomac that season. One of only nine players in Major League history to join Major League Baseball's 600 Home Run Club, Pujols is a lock to head to Cooperstown to be enshrined as a Hall of Fame inductee once his career wraps up.
A member of the 2016 America League Champion Cleveland Indians played for the Cannons back in 2001. OF Coco Crisp appeared in 139 games for the Cannons back in 2001. A 15-year MLB vet, Crisp had two different stints for the Indians, played three seasons for the Boston Red Sox, and won a World Series Championship with Boston in 2007. Crisp played one year with the Kansas City Royals and more than six seasons with the Oakland Athletics.
In 2002, Dan Haren made 14 starts for Potomac, and reached the Big Leagues the following season. Haren made three consecutive MLB All-Star games from 2007-2009, and twice finished in the top-10 in the Cy Young Award voting over his 13-year career. The righty out of Pepperdine University pitched for eight different MLB franchises in his career. Haren amassed 153 wins and finished with a career 3.75 ERA.
The 2003 Potomac Cannons team saw one of the generation's best sluggers take the field at Pfitzner Stadium, as IF Edwin Encarnación played in 58 games for Potomac. A current member of the Cleveland Indians, Encarnacion has made three All-Star teams in his current 13-year MLB career, and has finished in the top-15 of the American League Most Valuable Player vote four times. At 33-years old, Encarnacion tied for the American League lead with 127 RBIs in 2016.
Another potential Hall of Fame player took the field for the Cannons in 2004. 1B Joey Votto, a second round pick by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2002 MLB Draft, appeared in 24 games in '04 for Potomac. Votto, the National League MVP in 2010, is a five-time All-Star, and the active leader in all of Major League Baseball with a .424 on-base percentage. His OBP ranks tied for 12th in Major League history, behind names such as Ted Williams, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Rogers Hornsby, & Ty Cobb. Of the 13 players with an OBP of at least .424, 10 are currently in the Hall of Fame, while only Barry Bonds, the all-time home run leader, and Bill Joyce, who only played for eight seasons, rank higher.
During the game, the P-Nats will don their Military Appreciation jerseys, presented by Reality Realty. The Military Jerseys will be auctioned off at The Pfitz on P-Nats Fan Appreciation Day on Sunday, August 27th.
Face painting will be available to kids of all ages in the concourse at The Pfitz throughout the game, while there will be a kid public address announcer on another Virginia 529 Super Saver Sunday.
Fans who show their Virginia529 Smart Savers Club Card at the Extreme Custom Collision Ticket Office will receive two (2) free grandstand tickets to the game.
After the P-Nats finish their clash with the Pelicans, kids will have the opportunity to run the bases, presented by Glory Days Grill. Fans are also encouraged to bring a baseball and glove to the game to take part in an on-field catch to close out the day's on-field festivities.
Also after the game, two P-Nats players will sign autographs as part of a Kids-Only Autograph Session in the Extreme Custom Collision Cafe Area. Kids aged 12 and under are permitted to participate. Kids are allowed to receive one autographed item per player.
