JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp and Peak Events LLC are set to host the fourth annual Live Like Lou Jax College Baseball Classic, a round-robin tournament to be held from Feb. 26-28, 2027 at VyStar Ballpark. The 2027 Jax College Baseball Classic will feature four of the nation’s top college baseball teams: Cincinnati, Illinois, Georgia Tech, and Tennessee.

The 2027 Jax College Baseball Classic showcases three teams coming off NCAA postseason appearances in 2026. Three of the four teams in the event reached the NCAA Tournament in 2026. Representing the Big 12, Cincinnati went 38-22 and earned a spot in the Starkville Regional. Georgia Tech won 50 games for the sixth time in program history, captured both the ACC regular season and tournament Championships and hosted the Atlanta Regional as the No. 2 overall seed. Tennessee reached the Chapel Hill Regional this season, and the Volunteers recently won the 2024 College World Series.

In addition, the Fighting Illini have won 31 Big Ten championships, the second-most of any team in the conference. The most recent one came in 2024.

The weekend tournament features two games per day at VyStar Ballpark. Fans can sign up now for pre-sale ticket access at the Jax Classic page at www.peak.events. Travel packages and broadcast details will be announced at a later date.

In 2026, the tournament’s field included Indiana, LSU, Notre Dame and UCF. LSU earned the Classic’s championship belt and went undefeated in a round-robin format. The Tigers outscored their opponents 34-11.
