Jumbo Shrimp announce 2019 field staff

Kevin Randel begins first season as Jacksonville manager

The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, the Double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins, announced on Thursday that Kevin Randel will serve as the club's manager for the 2019 season. Randel returns to Jacksonville after winning Southern League championships with the club as a player in 2009 and hitting coach in 2014. Randel is joined by pitching coach Bruce Walton, hitting coach Sean Berry, and defensive coach Jose Ceballos. Brady Fitzgerald will serve as the club's strength and conditioning coach, Joe Comando returns as the clubhouse manager, and Jacksonville's athletic trainer and video manager are still to be announced.

The Jacksonville City Council officially approved a new lease extension for the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp on Tuesday. The agreement, which confirms the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp's long-term commitment to the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville, is an extension of the current working agreement and goes into effect immediately.

The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp will show a screening of Trolls on the high-definition video board at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. Hoover named Southern League Broadcaster of the Year

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The fans of Northeast Florida continue to respond to affordable family fun with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, as a total attendance of 317,335 came to home games in 2018. The first two seasons of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp presented by Community First Credit Union mark the first time in eight years that more than 317,000 have come in consecutive seasons to the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.
