Jose Canseco to Appear at Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium, P-Nats Set to Host Jurassic Park 25th Anniversary Night on Friday, June 15th

Woodbridge, VA-The Potomac Nationals are excited to host former MLB MVP and World Series Champion Jose Canseco for an appearance and autograph signing session at Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium on Friday, June 15th, as the P-Nats host the Buies Creek Astros (Houston Astros).

Jose Canseco marks the beginning of the 2018 Legends Autograph Series, presented by Northwest Federal Credit Union, the first of seven legendary nights. The 17-year MLB veteran played for seven different teams throughout his career, as he picked up several accolades along the way. Canseco was the 1986 American League Rookie of the Year, 1988 American League Most Valuable Player, two-time World Series Champion (1989, 2000), six-time All-Star (1986, 1988-1990, 1992, 1999), and a four-time Silver Slugger (1988, 1990, 1991, 1998).
The autograph session will start once gates open and will allow fans to have one item per person signed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Famous Fridays at The Pfitz continue, as Friday, June 15th is also Jurassic Park 25th Anniversary Night at Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium. The P-Nats will transform the ballpark into Jurassic Park for the special night to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the famous film. Along with Jurassic Park-themed promotions throughout the night, there will be a Jurassic Park Anniversary Night Jersey Auction, presented by Play4TheCure, a fundraising platform for the National Foundation for Cancer Research. The game-worn, autographed jerseys will be auctioned off through a silent auction that will take place throughout the game. Once the game is over, fans can take a picture with the player or coach who wore the jersey and take the jersey home that night.
Fans can also see Jurassic Park Jeeps as they enter the ballpark!
Students who have participated in Uncle Slam's Reading Program will be in attendance for the game as well, as Friday, June 15th is a Reading Program Night at Northwest Federal Field. Reading Program participants will be recognized for their achievements in a pre-game parade.
After the game is over, kids in attendance can showcase their speed around the diamond in Kids Run the Bases, presented by Glory Days Grill.
To cap off the night, fans can enjoy the best fireworks show in the area, presented by WTOP and Northwest Federal Credit Union.

First pitch between the P-Nats and the Astros is at 7:05pm. Gates to the ballpark will open at 6:00pm.
