The Kansas City Royals announced a series of transactions on Tuesday that affects their Triple-A affiliate Omaha Storm Chasers roster prior to this evening's series-opening contest against the Nashville Sounds at First Tennessee Park.

Right-hander Jake Junis and infielder Raul Mondesi have been activated on to Omaha's roster after being optioned from Kansas City. Junis did not factor in the decision in his first Major League start in the first game of a doubleheader on May 21 at Minnesota after yielding two earned runs on five hits in 4.2 innings pitched, along with three walks and four strikeouts. In three appearances (one start) with the Royals he owns a 1-0 record and 2.70 ERA (2 ER/6.2 IP), adding six punchouts.
