Kentucky Wildcats to take on Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns at Blue Wahoos Stadium in 2027

PENSACOLA, FL – The Pensacola Blue Wahoos announced Thursday that Blue Wahoos Stadium will host the Kentucky Wildcats and Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns in a non-conference college baseball game on Tuesday, February 23, 2027.

The game adds to a busy event calendar at Blue Wahoos Stadium in the 2026-27 offseason, joining two fall college baseball exhibitions held earlier this month as well as a non-conference series between Ohio State and UConn on February 19-21, 2027 that was announced on Tuesday.

“We’re excited to welcome these two programs to Blue Wahoos Stadium,” said Blue Wahoos team president Jonathan Griffith. “Our venue is known for having the best view in Minor League Baseball, and we’re hopeful that Wildcats and Ragin’ Cajun fans agree when they get a chance to experience it for themselves.”

While the midweek game will be the first time Kentucky plays in Pensacola, the Ragin’ Cajuns participated in the Cox Diamond Invitational at Blue Wahoos Stadium in March 2020. Both programs have recently seen former players represent the Blue Wahoos, with infielders Blake Trahan and Hayden Cantrelle hailing from Louisiana in past seasons and right-handed reliever Holt Jones the most recent Kentucky product to play in Pensacola when he pitched in the Blue Wahoos bullpen in 2026.
