FREDERICK, MD-The Frederick Keys, Advanced-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, are excited to announce that the team will be hosting the 2019 Carolina League All-Star Classic. Presented by Visit Frederick, the game will take place at Nymeo Field on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.
"We are incredibly excited to have some of the best young players in Minor League Baseball come to Frederick for the 2019 Carolina League All-Star Classic," said Keys General Manager Dave Ziedelis. "Frederick is an outstanding Minor League Baseball market and with tremendous support coming from outside of Frederick County, we expect a great crowd for the league's signature event of the summer. We would also like to thank Visit Frederick for partnering with us on the Carolina League All-Star Classic and are excited to show off what the City of Frederick has to offer."

The 2019 Carolina League All-Star Classic will mark the third straight season the Carolina League North and the Carolina League South will face-off in an all-star game. Previously the midsummer classic was an interleague affair, pitting the Carolina League against the California League exclusively from 1999-2016. Featuring the top players from all 10 Carolina League teams, the 2019 CL All-Star Classic will showcase some of Minor League Baseball's brightest young stars.
Not the first time an all-star game has taken place in Frederick, the Keys last hosted a midsummer classic on June 28, 2005, when the Carolina League bested the California League 8-0. Additionally, Harry Grove Stadium was the site of the 1991 Carolina League All-Star game. Taking place on July 24 that season, it marked the third year of the Keys existence.
More information regarding all-star game tickets, start time as well as details about the all-star fanfest and gala will be released at a later date. For more information regarding the game, fans can visit frederickkeys.com.
The Keys return home on Monday night to take on the Winston-Salem Dash for the first time in 2018. First pitch is at 7:00 p.m and the broadcast can be heard on frederickkeys.com and the TuneIn App.
Marking the first game of a nine-game homestand, highlights include Redneck Weekend, a Longbow Bundy Bobblehead giveaway as well as four fireworks shows. For ticket information, fans can call the Keys at 301-815-9939 or visit frederickkeys.com.
