Summary
Hartford's Josh Fuentes ripped three hits and drove in a pair of RBI, and Ashley Graeter chipped in a three-run triple, as the Yard Goats cruised to a 10-5 victory over the Akron RubberDucks Wednesday night at Canal Park in Akron, Ohio.

 
Turning Point
Graeter's three-run triple off Jacob Lee in the eighth inning highlighted a four-run rally that helped Hartford (49-59) blow the game open and extend their lead to 10-5. Graeter was 2-4 with a walk and run scored.
 
Winging It
Akron starter Matt Whitehouse (6-6) was hit early, giving up a pair of runs in the first inning on doubles by Brendan Rodgers and Fuentes. Whitehouse left after giving up six earned runs in four innings. Right-hander D.J. Brown followed Whitehouse and tossed three scoreless innings. Brown has allowed just one run over his last 14.2 innings of relief work.
 
Duck Tales
The RubberDucks (52-55) scored a pair of runs off Hartford starter Konner Wade (6-6) in the third inning on a sacrifice fly by Greg Allen and a solo home run by Jason Kipnis. The Kipnis homer cut the Hartford lead to 4-2. After the Goats extended the lead to 6-2, Akron rallied again in the fourth, scoring three times to pull to within one at 6-5. Yu Chang ripped an RBI triple and Mike Papi and Joe Sever each delivered RBI singles off Wade. Papi was 3-4 on the night. Luigi Rodriguez also had a pair of hits, raising his season average to .286.
 
Notebook
The teams have split the first two games of the series…Fuentes has feasted on Akron pitching this season. He was 3-5, with two doubles and two RBI Wednesday, and raised his average to .500 (10-20) against the RubberDucks…Both Bowie and Altoona lost games on Wednesday, so the RubberDucks remain five games out of first and 3.5 out of second…The Ducks fell to 29-28 at home…Time of game: 2:52… Attendance: 4,873.
