OF Eloy Jiménez, who is ranked as the top prospect in the Chicago White Sox system, has been placed on Charlotte's DL today. The 21-year-old slugger left Sunday's game against the Gwinnett Stripers. After an MRI and examination today in Charlotte, he was diagnosed with a strain of his left adductor muscle. He is expected to return to game action in approximately two weeks. Jiménez has appeared in 12 games with the Knights since being promoted from Double-A Birmingham, and has compiled a .293 batting average (12-for-41) with four runs scored, one double, two home runs, and four RBIs.

RHP Donny Roach, who is 9-2 with a 2.65 ERA this season with the Knights (16 games, 15 games started), has been placed on the team's Temporary Inactive List. He went 5-0 with a 0.98 ERA in the month of June. Earlier in the day on Monday, he was named as the International League's Player of the Month and the Chicago White Sox Minor League Pitcher of the Month (both for the month of June).
