Cease, 23, struck-out 11 batters over six sharp innings on Tuesday, but did not factor in the decision. Ranked as the third-best prospect in the Chicago White Sox organization by Baseball America, Cease allowed two runs on five hits and tossed a total of 80 pitches on the night. He left with the game tied at 2-2.
