DES MOINES, IA - Iowa outhit Las Vegas 10-8, but the 51s (55-57) used a three-run fifth, a four-run sixth and three home runs for a come-from-behind 9-6 win, taking the first of a four-game series with the I-Cubs (41-70), Saturday at Principal Park.

Ryan Court ignited the offense in the first frame with an RBI single before following it up with his team-leading 51st RBI of the season with a bases-loaded walk in the second. Jason Vosler continued to keep the line moving with an RBI fielder's choice to respond to a two-run third from Las Vegas, for a 3-2 game.
A 6-2 lead after a three-run fifth would not hold for long, as the I-Cubs needed a Stephen Bruno RBI double and Mark Zagunis two RBI single to keep a slim edge off starter Blake Taylor (W, 2-0).
Las Vegas came thundering back in the fifth, posting a three-spot off two home runs from Peter Alonso and Dominic Smith - chasing Trevor Clifton after five earned runs on six hits over 4.2 innings.
The 51s eventually turned a 6-5 deficit into a 9-6 lead off two singles, three walks and two errors. Craig Brooks (L, 1-2) was tagged with four unearned runs in the sixth, leading to the eventual loss for the righty. Cory Mazzoni quieted the 51s bats for one hit over 1.1 innings, before Rob Zastryzny took the reigns for a final two perfect frames.
Kyle Regnault held Iowa hitless through 3.0 innings with five strikeouts and Gerson Bautista notched his second save with a two-hit ninth to wrap up the comeback win.
Bruno ended the day going 3-for-5, while Trey Martin went 2-for-4 to boost Iowa's offense.
The I-Cubs and Las Vegas 51s will be back for a Sunday 1:08 matinee. Fans can enjoy Kids Runs the Bases Post-Game) Pedal to the Park, Food Pantry, Knothole Gang, Family 4 Pack and Home Run Reader. For more information or tickets visit www.iowacubs.com.
