CORPUS CHRISTI, TX- The Tulsa Drillers looked to take the win and the series over the Corpus Christi Hooks on Monday night to wrap up a long road trip. Tulsa's DJ Peters was the hero of the night, hitting a late game-winning homer in the Drillers 5-4 victory. A solo home

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX- The Tulsa Drillers looked to take the win and the series over the Corpus Christi Hooks on Monday night to wrap up a long road trip. Tulsa's DJ Peters was the hero of the night, hitting a late game-winning homer in the Drillers 5-4 victory. 

A solo home run and a sacrifice fly also produced runs for Tulsa. With the win, Tulsa moved to one game over .500.

WHAT YOU MISSED
The Hooks got the scoring started in the first inning. After a pair of hits and a walk to start the inning, Granden Goerzman grounded into a double play that scored Ronnie Dawson from third.

The Hooks struck again in the third. With two outs, Abraham Toro hit an RBI double, scoring Stephen Wrenn from first.

The lead grew to 3-0 in the fourth after Chas McCormick hit a single to center field, scoring Joshua Rojas from second.

Zach Reks gave the Drillers their first run of the night with a solo shot in the sixth, his sixth of the year.

Corpus Christi scored their fourth run in the sixth when Anibal Sierra singled, scoring McCormick from third to up its lead to 4-1. 

Tulsa came back with a big rally in the eighth. Angelo Mora scored on a long sacrifice fly by Gavin Lux . Then with two runners on base, Peters delivered his clutch three-run homer which was the difference in the Drillers 5-4 win. 

OTHER NOTES:
Adam McCreery picked up his second win of the season.

Peters' blast was his third home run of the year.

Reks extended his hitting streak to six games.

Layne Somsen picked up his second save of the season.
