JACKSON, Tenn. - The Jackson Generals, the Double-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, dropped a 15-7 decision on Friday to the Biloxi Shuckers at The Ballpark at Jackson, done in by a nine-run ninth inning by Biloxi.

The loss puts the Generals (56-48, 17-18 Second Half) a game under .500 in the Second Half, as the Shuckers (61-42, 20-13 Second Half) took the season series, 5-4.
Ryan Atkinson recovered from a rocky opening frame to complete 5.2 innings, giving up four runs in total while striking out eight men. When Atkinson departed with two men on base, Wei-Chieh Huang (2-1, 2.00 ERA) allowed both inherited runners to score before getting the final out. Huang also allowed a two-run home run in the eighth inning to Luis Aviles Jr. Jr., surrendering a blast for the first time since April 8. The ninth inning was a Biloxi romp that featured nine runs scored against right-hander Brian Ellington and moonlighting reliever Jose Queliz, the Generals' third catcher.
Offensively, the Generals trailed only 6-4 entering the ninth inning, thanks in part to a two-run Atkinson single in the fourth that helped his own cause. Kevin Medrano's two-run triple in the ninth made the margin slightly more palatable, and Josh Prince finished 1-for-2 with two runs scored and a pair of walks. The Generals are now 14-12 in July, with four games still to go.
