The Yankees were able to produce runners throughout the first five innings as they managed six hits but couldn't capitalize, as the game remained scoreless through five innings of play. Pulaski finally broke through in the top of the sixth inning when

The Yankees went down in order in the ninth as the Mets held on to complete their comeback and even the series at a game apiece. Altogether the Yankees left 10 runners stranded including leaving the bases loaded in the first inning with one out and once again leaving a runner stranded at third as Volpe made it within 90 feet of home in the top of the third inning with two outs. Coming into the game Pulaski was 19-0 on the year when they scored the first run of the game.
The Yankees will look to bounce back and win the series tomorrow as they conclude their six game road trip with the rubber match against the Mets as first pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
