ALLENTOWN, PA – The Buffalo Bisons gave up four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning in a 4-1 loss to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on Saturday evening at Coca-Cola Park.
Simeon Woods Richardson delivered a strong start on the mound, working five and one-third scoreless innings. He earned seven strikeouts and allowed just three hits.
Woods Richardson retired the side in both the first and third innings for Buffalo.
Charles McAdoo got home on a wild pitch in the top of the seventh for the game’s first run, giving the Bisons a 1-0 lead.
Chase Lee took the mound for Buffalo and pitched one and two-third scoreless innings.
Lehigh Valley took a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. Kameron Misner hit a solo home run, and Carter Kieboom followed with an RBI single that scored Tommy Pham. Liover Peguero added an RBI single that scored Christian Cairo, and Paul McIntosh capped off the inning with a sacrifice fly that scored Felix Reyes.
Josh Kasevich had one of the four base hits for Buffalo in the loss. He continues to lead the team in base hits, with 112 on the season, as well as a.301 batting average in 98 games.
