MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Jackson Generals, the Double-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, couldn't do enough to win on Tuesday night, succumbing 6-5 to the Montgomery Biscuits in ten innings at Riverwalk Stadium.

The loss sets up a rubber game tomorrow on getaway day for the Generals (58-50) and Biscuits (59-50) to decide the 2-2 series.
Barry Enright, a former second-round pick by the Diamondbacks, made his first start for Jackson in 2018, pitching six innings against the Biscuits without earning a decision. The 32-year-old struck out two and walked two in his first Southern League appearance since 2010, suffering four runs (three earned) by Montgomery. Enright allowed a home run to Nathaniel Lowe in the third inning to help the Biscuits pull ahead 3-1, and Lowe gave the Generals relief corps trouble as well.
Lowe homered for the second time in the game off of right-hander Kevin Ginkel in the eighth inning, tying the game at 5-5 to give Montgomery a chance to extend the game. In the first extra frame, left-hander Kirby Bellow (5-3, 4.19 ERA) threw a wild pitch that allowed automatic runner Peter Maris to reach third base without a hit, and a single moments later by Nathan Lukes allowed Montgomery to walk off with the win.
Ben DeLuzio paced the Generals offense with three hits, a stolen base, and a run scored, closing the month of July with a .355 batting average, 15 swipes, and 24 runs in 24 games. The rest of the Jackson lineup managed only four hits between themselves, with Daniel Robertson and Marty Herum each driving in multiple runs. The Generals capitalized on three of their twelve chances with men in scoring position, but they also left seven men stranded in scoring position with two outs.
