The Rome Braves fell to the Lexington Legends 2-1 Wednesday at State Mutual Stadium before a crowd of 1,081.

Vance Vizcaino broke the scoreless tie in the sixth on an RBI single but Rome tied the contest in the bottom of the inning on Lucas Herbert's two out run scoring double. Manny Olloque singled home a run in the seventh to give Lexington the 2-1 lead. Rome threatened in the bottom of the ninth with the bases loaded and two outs but the Legends held on for the 2-1 win.
Ofreidy Gomez (7-11) gets the win for Lexington while Jon Kennedy takes the loss for Rome. Matthew Wynne (2) gets the save.
The Braves and Legends conclude their series tomorrow night at seven.
