Lexington clings on for 1-0 victory over Jackets

NORTH AUGUSTA, SOUTH CAROLINA: The Augusta GreenJackets (41-36, 5-4) saw their four-game winning streak come to an end as the Lexington Legends (40-38, 3-6) stole the 2^nd game of the four-game series with a 1-0 win. The Jackets could only muster up five-hit for the game.

After both pitchers did not allow a run in the first three innings, the Legends struck first in the 4^th inning. With men on 1^st and 2^nd base, Rubendy Jaquez singled. Reed Rohlman tried to score from 2^nd base, but GreenJackets right fielder Diego Rincones tossed him out with a great throw to the plate.
With runners on 2^nd and 3^rd base for Lexington after the sensational play by Rincones, Eric Cole streaked home from 3^rd base for Lexington on a passed ball, and Lexington had a 1-0 lead. It was an unearned run for Keaton Winn, as he went six-innings and did not allow an earned run, while he finished with six strikeouts.
Matt Seelinger went two innings of scoreless ball out of the bullpen, before Luis Amaya went the 9^th without allowing a run. The GreenJackets offense was kept quiet all night long and Lexington steals the 2^nd game 1-0 over the Jackets. Diego Rincones ends the night going 2-4.
Player of the Game: Keaton Winn, 6 IP, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 6 K
It was a fantastic outing for Keaton Winn on Friday. He went six-frames, allowing just one run, and it was an unearned run that scored in the 4th. Winn continues to take the mound and give the GreenJackets an opportunity to win baseball games.

Pitching Matchup: (LEX) RHP Jon Heasley (6-3, 2.55 ERA) vs (AUG) RHP Adam Oller (1-1, 4.66 ERA)
The 3^rd game of the series between Lexington and Augusta will feature two right-handed pitchers. The Jackets will send out Adam Oller to make his 2^nd start of the homestand. Oller pitched on Monday in the series opener with Asheville. He went 5.2 innings and allowed only one run on his way to his 1^st win as a GreenJacket. It was Oller's 11^th win overall as a professional as he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates back in 2016. After he was released by Pittsburgh in November of 2018, the San Francisco Giants signed Oller in May to a minor league contract, after he pitched in the Frontier League (Independent Baseball) to start 2019.
Jon Heasley is familiar with the Augusta GreenJackets lineup after facing them on June 11^th back in Lexington, Kentucky. Heasley went six-innings in that outing and allowed just three runs, but he picked-up the loss. The right-hander has been terrific this year, and in his last start, he had a career-high 12 strikeouts. Hitters have just a .205 average against Heasley this year, and he has 86 strikeouts to only 16 walks on the season.
