Lipscomb and Morales Named International League All-Stars; LeCroy Earns Manager of the Year

ROCHESTER, NY – The Rochester Red Wings’ historic 2026 season has earned three more honors. TREY LIPSCOMB has been named an International League All-Star at utility and YOHANDY MORALES at third base, while MATT LECROY has been selected as the league’s Manager of the Year after guiding Rochester to its first league championship since 1997.

We are grateful to them, our entire team, and the Washington Nationals for bringing our community so much pride.”

Lipscomb, 26, batted .287 (149-for-519) in 134 regular-season games, collecting 31 doubles, one triple, 32 home runs, 94 RBI and 90 runs scored. He posted a .325 on-base percentage, .536 slugging percentage, and .861 OPS, finishing with 64 extra-base hits and 278 total bases. Across 556 plate appearances, he drew 30 walks and struck out 145 times, while stealing 15 bases in 18 attempts. He is the first Red Wing to hit at least 30 homers and 30 doubles in a season since Steve Bilko accomplished this in 1949. The Tennessee alum also won team MVP, which was voted on by Red Wings fans.

Lipscomb led the International League in six categories: hits, RBI, extra-base hits, total bases, games played, and at-bats. He also finished second in home runs and runs scored, and third in doubles. His 278 total bases were 43 more than the next-closest hitter in the league.

His power production placed him alongside some of Rochester’s most recognizable names. Lipscomb’s 32 home runs tied Bobby Grich’s 1971 season and Boog Powell’s 1961 campaign for the fifth-highest single-season total in Red Wings history. He became the first Rochester hitter to reach that mark since Jim Fuller hit 39 home runs in 1973.

Lipscomb’s versatility extended across six defensive positions. He made 64 appearances at shortstop, 28 at second base, 27 at third base, 18 in left field, two in center field and one in right field, while also appearing in three games as the designated hitter.

Morales, 24, earned All-Star honors at third base after batting .286 (116-for-405) in 104 games with Rochester. He collected 19 doubles, 25 home runs, 76 RBI, and 82 runs scored, posting a .363 on-base percentage, .519 slugging percentage, and .882 OPS. He finished with 44 extra-base hits and 210 total bases, drawing 43 walks against 111 strikeouts across 455 plate appearances and stealing six bases in seven attempts.

Despite spending September in the Major Leagues, Morales finished tied for fifth in the International League in home runs, seventh in runs scored and 10th in total bases. Among qualified hitters, he ranked eighth in both slugging percentage and OPS. He finished second to Lipscomb on the Red Wings in hits, home runs, RBI, runs scored and total bases.

Morales made 40 appearances at third base, including 39 starts, recording a .964 fielding percentage over 329.1 innings. He also appeared in 47 games at first base, one at second base and 18 as the designated hitter. His season in Rochester earned him his first Major League promotion, and he debuted with the Washington Nationals on September 1.

LeCroy’s sixth season at the helm produced a 90-58 record, the most regular-season wins in Minor League Baseball and Rochester’s first 90-win campaign since 1953. The Red Wings captured the International League second-half title with a 45-30 record, returned to the postseason for the first time since 2013, and defeated Memphis in the Championship Series to secure the franchise’s 20th league title.

Through the end of the 2026 regular season, LeCroy owns a career Minor League managerial record of 1,022-1,096 (.483) across 15 seasons, all in the Washington Nationals organization. His record over six seasons with Rochester stands at 408-455 (.473). Before joining the Red Wings in 2021, he managed Hagerstown, Potomac and Harrisburg.

With 408 regular-season victories, LeCroy ranks sixth in Rochester franchise history, behind John Ganzel (593), George Stallings (579), Joe Altobelli (502), Billy Southworth (495) and Albert Buckenberger (451). He moved ahead of Marv Foley’s 363 wins during the season and became Rochester’s first manager to serve six consecutive seasons since Altobelli’s tenure from 1971-76.

LeCroy reached another milestone on August 12, earning his 1,000th career managerial victory in Rochester’s 13-1 win over Charlotte. He now becomes the first Red Wings skipper named International League Manager of the Year since Foley in 1997, adding another connection between Rochester’s two most recent championship teams.
