Visalia, CA – Thayron Liranzo had a huge day offensively, as the Quakes won four of six in their series against Visalia, defeating the Rawhide on Sunday afternoon, 10-5 at Valley Strong Ballpark.

Liranzo (10, 11) homered on the first two pitches he saw, including a second-inning grand slam, Rancho’s first of the year, which put the game away at 8-0 against Visalia starter Brock Jones (0-3).

Rayne Doncon (8) and Kenneth Betancourt (1) also homered, as the Quakes smashed a total of four round-trippers on the day.

Reliever Darlin Pinales (3-2) was credited with the win in relief of starter Luis Valdez, who was removed due to pitch count after two scoreless innings to open the game.

The Quakes (27-12) now lead second-place Lake Elsinore by 5.5 games in the South Division Standings and will open up a six-game set against the Storm on Tuesday at LoanMart Field.
