Locke (1-0) had his longest outing in four rehab appearances between Class-A Advanced Jupiter and Jacksonville. On Thursday, he scattered six singles and two walks while striking out five Generals. He worked one perfect inning and stranded seven baserunners. After a walk to begin the game, he immediately induced a ground-ball double play. He worked around two singles in the second and one in the third by getting five of six outs via strikeouts. He escaped a bases-loaded jam in the fifth inning with another double play and worked around back-to-back one-out singles.

Keller held the Jumbo Shrimp without further runs until the fourth inning. Left fielder Alex Glenn hit a leadoff infield single, catcher Austin Nola singled to center field, and center fielder Yefri Pérez hit an RBI double to center field. An infield single by Serna and bases-loaded hit by pitch of Towey each added a run to make it 5-0.
