Summary
The Akron RubberDucks scored two runs in the fifth inning to take a 6-5 win in a back-and-forth affair vs. the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Thursday at Canal Park.

Turning Point
After New Hampshire took a 5-4 lead in the top of the fifth inning, Akron rallied for two runs to take a 6-5 lead, coming on three hits and a walk in the bottom half of the inning, with runs scoring on an Andruw Monasterio single and Alexis Pantoja fielder's choice.
Mound Presence
Akron RubberDucks starter Jake Paulson won his third straight outing, going six innings, allowing 10 hits, five runs, three earned runs, while striking out two. He allowed two home runs, but did not walk a batter. He was relieved by Kyle Dowdy , who marked his return to the RubberDucks and Indians' organization following being re-acquired this week from the Texas Rangers. Dowdy made his first appearance with Akron since Aug. 31 last season and he threw two scoreless innings, allowing a hit, a walk, and striking out three. Dalbert Siri closed the door in the ninth inning for his eighth save.
Duck Tales
The RubberDucks offense had 11 hits, led by OF Mitch Longo's 4-for-4 performance. Longo scored three runs and had two stolen bases. Akron scored a run in the first inning to make the score 2-1 New Hampshire on 3B Nolan Jones' fourth home run with the RubberDucks and his first at Canal Park. The Ducks took a temporary 3-2 lead with two runs in the second inning, coming on a Pantoja sacrifice fly and shortstop Ernie Clement's run-scoring single. In the bottom of the third after New Hampshire went up 4-3, Akron tied it at 4-4 on a Nellie Rodríguez single, scoring Longo from second after he reached on an infield hit and stole second base for the second consecutive inning. Finally, after the Fisher Cats went up 5-4 heading into the bottom of the fifth, Akron rallied with a walk, followed by three singles and fielder's choice to score a pair of runs to take a 6-5 win.
Notebook
Alex Call had his season-high eight-game hitting streak snapped….Paulson did not walk a batter in consecutive starts after only having two walkless outings over his prior 17 games with Akron in 2019. His 10 hits allowed tied his season-high set on July 14 at Bowie…Longo's four-hit game was his first of the season and first since he did it July 9, 2018, for Lynchburg vs. Potomac; it was the team's third four-hit game in 2019…Nellie Rodriguez had his 10th multi-hit game and first since July 15…Clement had his team-high 26th multi-hit game and has now reached safely in 29-of-31 games and hit safely in 26-of-31 since coming off the IL on May 9…Akron is now 32-15 vs. NH all-time at Canal Park and the all-time series is now 54-38 in favor of the Ducks, dating back to 2004…Akron has now won five of seven games.
On the Pond
The RubberDucks continue their homestand Friday night at 7:05 p.m. in the first game of a three-game weekend series vs. the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. The game will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1350 AM, the WARF iHeart channel, and the TuneIn Radio App. LHP Tanner Tully (6-8, 4.58) is scheduled to face RHP Tommy Wilson (3-4, 4.86).
