The Loons (12-18, 48-51) capitalized on a misjudged fly ball by Bandits (20-10, 57-41) shortstop Kristian Trompiz in the fourth. Carlos Rincon led off the inning with a fly ball that was lost in the sun by the shortstop, allowing Rincon to reach second. Rincon scored on an RBI single by Carlos Santana. A two-out RBI single by Oneil Cruz in the sixth made it 2-0 Loons. The Bandits tied the score in the sixth. An RBI single by Josh Rojas made it 2-1, then Troy Sieber's RBI double evened the score. The Loons responded with four runs in the seventh inning. Yohan Ramirez hit the first batter of the inning and walked the next. Back-to-back RBI singles from Zach Reks and Steve Berman followed. Gavin Lux completed the four-run rally with a two-run single, extending the lead to 6-2 Loons. Ronnie Dawson singled home a run for the Bandits in the ninth.
May (6-5) endured 6.2 innings, allowing two runs on five hits, while striking out six and walking two. Angel German relieved May in the seventh, recording the final seven outs without allowing a run. Yohan Ramirez took the loss in relief. Ramirez (2-3) allowed all four runs in the decisive rally. Carlos Sanabria started for the Bandits and took a no-decision despite allowing only one unearned run over five innings.
