Lansing increased its lead to 2-0 in the sixth.
Rodriguez and Jimenez each registered a scoreless inning of relief to cap Lansing's shutout victory. Rodriguez pitched a perfect eighth inning for his second hold. Jimenez worked around a walk in the ninth and tallied his team-high sixth save of the year.
Cedar Rapids will be idle Tuesday before kicking off a five-game homestand Wednesday night at 6:35 p.m. against the Clinton LumberKings. The probable pitchers are Kernels right-hander
