CLINTON, Ia. - The Lansing Lugnuts (18-12) romped to an 11-6 victory over the Clinton LumberKings (11-18) on Tuesday afternoon at Ashford University Field, the Lugnuts' eighth win in their last ten games.

The Lugnuts, the Midwest League's highest scoring team, plated one run in the first inning, two in the third, and four runs apiece in the fifth and eighth innings to pull away.

Right fielder Edward Olivares led the way, going 3-for-6 with a stolen base, two doubles and four runs scored. Designated hitter Bo Bichette added three singles, a walk and two runs scored in five plate appearances. Third baseman Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. delivered a pair of RBI singles to extend his on-base streak to 27 games.

Starter Andy Ravel (Win, 3-0) worked seven innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks, striking out six.

Dan Lietz allowed a run in the eighth, and Jackson McClelland gave up an unearned run in the ninth.

Clinton starting pitcher Nick Wells(Loss, 0-3), a former Blue Jays farmhand, was touched up for nine hits, seven runs (six earned) and two walks in five innings.

The Lugnuts' offense leads the Midwest League in batting average (.282), runs (179), hits (287), total bases (433), hit-by-pitches (24), walks (139) and on-base percentage (.377).

The Nuts go for the three-game sweep of the LumberKings on Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. Eastern, sending right-hander Justin Maese (3-2, 4.89) against Clinton right-hander Nick Wells (4-1, 4.65).
