Portland, Maine - The New York Mets have announced that RHP Matt Harvey will continue his Major League Rehab Assignment on Saturday, August 26th at Hadlock Field, when the Sea Dogs host the Binghamton Rumble Ponies at 6:00 PM.


Portland, Maine - The New York Mets have announced that RHP Matt Harvey will continue his Major League Rehab Assignment on Saturday, August 26th at Hadlock Field, when the Sea Dogs host the Binghamton Rumble Ponies at 6:00 PM.

Harvey is currently on the Mets 10-Day Disabled List (since June 16) with a stress injury in his right shoulder. The righty pitched for Binghamton last Monday, working three innings on four hits and two runs. Overall, Harvey has made three rehab starts: two with Short-Season Brooklyn and one with Binghamton.
The New London, Connecticut native was the 7th overall pick in the 2010 draft, which featured Bryce Harper (1st overall), Manny Machado (3rd overall), Drew Pomeranz (5th overall) and Chris Sale (13th overall).
Harvey made his Double-A debut with the Binghamton Mets in 2011, going 5-3, 4.53 ERA in 12 starts. During his Binghamton stint, Harvey made two appearances against the Sea Dogs, taking the loss at NYSEG Stadium on June 6, 2011, and took a no-decision on June 18th, 2011 at Hadlock Field.
In 2012, the righty went 3-5, 2.73 ERA in his first 10 starts in the Major Leagues.
Overall, Harvey is 33-31, 3.22 ERA in 95 career Major League starts. During the Mets 2015 post-season run, Harvey earned a win in the NLDS and NLCS, taking two no-decisions in the World Series.
