Memphis Snaps Dodgers' Win Streak

Memphis, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds built a pair of three-run leads which proved to be a bit too much for the Oklahoma City Dodgers, falling, 5-4, at AutoZone Park Tuesday night.
The loss snapped the Dodgers' six-game win streak as Memphis matched Oklahoma City's league-best 18 wins.
After getting shutout Monday, the Redbirds (18-8) scored their first run of the series in the third inning on a two-out RBI single by Randy Arozarena. In the fourth, Memphis started the inning with three straight hits, including a two-run single by Yairo Muñoz to put the Dodgers in a 3-0 hole.
The Dodgers (18-5) scored one run in each of the next two innings to cut the deficit to one. Tim Locastro hit a RBI double in the fifth inning to get the team into the run column.
On the first pitch of the sixth inning, Rob Segedin hit a home run out to center field to get the Dodgers within 3-2.
But the Redbirds answered with a homer of their own in the bottom of the inning. Patrick Wisdom sent a two-run blast out to left-center field to push the lead back to three runs.
The Dodgers responded with two runs in the seventh, stringing together four straight hits with one out. After Locastro's second RBI double of the night, the Dodgers had the tying runs in scoring position. Donovan Solano then hit a single to right field, scoring Alex Burg. Locastro tried to score on the play as well, but he was thrown out at home plate by Tyler O'Neill.
That play was the only down moment of the night for Locastro, who reached base four times on three hits and one walk. He finished with two RBI, stole two bases and made a tremendous diving catch in left field in the fifth inning. 
Still down by one in the ninth, Cael Brockmeyer picked up his second hit with a one-out single. He was replaced by pinch runner Wes Darvill, who was caught stealing second base. Pinch hitter Angelo Mora then struck out to end the game.
Memphis starting pitcher John Gant improved to 4-0 after turning in six solid innings. He held the Dodgers to two runs and five hits, with two walks and four strikeouts. Sam Tuivalala faced the minimum over the final two innings and recorded the last six outs to earn his first save.
Dodgers starting pitcher Justin DeFratus took his first loss of the season. Over six innings, DeFratus (1-1) allowed five runs and eight hits - both the most allowed by any OKC pitcher this season. He walked two and notched one strikeout.
Memphis' five-run output snapped a streak of 10 consecutive games in which the Dodgers allowed three or fewer runs. It was also the first time all season a Dodgers starting pitcher allowed more than three runs. 
The Dodgers still managed to outhit Memphis, 10-9, with five hits going for extra bases.
