Mets blast Threshers, 12-7

CLEARWATER, Fla. (August 14, 2017) - The St. Lucie Mets slugged their way to a 12-7 victory over the Clearwater Threshers on Monday at Spectrum Field.
The win snapped the Mets four-game losing streak and spiraled the Threshers to an eighth straight loss.
The Mets reached base 29 times on Monday (18 hits, 10 walks, one hit batter). Every player had a least one hit and reached base multiple times.
Not to be lost in the offense outburst was the start made by
Church scattered six hits, did not walk a batter and struck out five to pick up his team-leading ninth win.
The Mets essentially put the game away in the fourth inning when they scored eight runs, collected six hits and sent 13 batters to the plate. McNeil and
Tebow went 1 for 4 with two walks, two RBI and a run scored on his 30th birthday.
The Threshers scored six runs in the span of six batters in the eighth to cut a 12-1 deficit to 12-7. The big blow was a three-run homer from
