KISSIMMEE, Fla. (June 25, 2017) - The Fort Myers Miracle (2-2) churned out 13 hits on their way to an 8-3 win over the Florida Fire Frogs (2-2) to split their four-game series on Sunday night. Max Murphy tallied four hits including his fifth home run of the year. LHP Anthony

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (June 25, 2017) - The Fort Myers Miracle (2-2) churned out 13 hits on their way to an 8-3 win over the Florida Fire Frogs (2-2) to split their four-game series on Sunday night. Max Murphy tallied four hits including his fifth home run of the year. LHP Anthony McIver picked up his first professional win as a starter, going five innings allowing three runs on six hits with four strikeouts.
The Miracle scored the first three runs of the game in the first two frames. The top of the first included a Jaylin Davis sac fly scoring Brandon Lopez and a Mitchell Kranson RBI-single. In the second, Murphy launched a 410-foot home run to left-center to give Fort Myers a 3-0 lead.
Florida came back to tie the game in the bottom of the second. The Frogs scored their first run on a Tanner Murphy RBI-double. Two batters later, with two outs, Alejandro Salazar doubled in a pair to tie the game.
Fort Myers answered by scoring runs in each of the next three innings. With two outs in the third, Kranson smacked a double to right-center scoring Tanner English from first. Zander Wiel then knocked in Kranson with a single for a 5-3 lead. In the fourth, Jermaine Palacios recorded his first FSL RBI with a sac-fly to right. The Miracle took a 7-3 lead on Shane Kennedy's two-out double in the fifth, and Murphy's fourth hit of the night in the eighth brought in one more.
RHP Keaton Steele tossed two scoreless innings of relief after McIver. RHP David Fischer handled the eighth, while LHP Andrew Vasquez fanned the side in the ninth to end the game.
The Miracle enjoy an off day on Monday before beginning a seven-game homestand on Tuesday. The first three are bouts against the Clearwater Threshers before the St. Lucie Mets and Tim Tebow come to town Friday through Monday.
