CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Jackson Generals, the Double-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, won their first rubber game in eight tries on Sunday, downing the Chattanooga Lookouts 6-1 at AT&T Field.

The Generals' triumph gave Jackson (63-55) their third series victory of the Second Half, topping Chattanooga (56-61) for only the third time on the road.
The Generals outflanked right-hander Jorge Alcala (0-2, 6.75 ERA) in the first inning, using a three-run homer by Rudy Flores and an RBI single by Marty Herum to race out to a 4-0 lead. After a rough opening, Alcala and relievers Anthony Marzi and Sam Clay retired 17 Generals in a row before a seventh-inning error by shortstop Jordan Gore allowed Galli Cribbs Jr. to reach base. Two batters later, Jason Morozowski hit his second opposite-field home run in as many games, growing Jackson's lead from 4-1 to 6-1 in one swing. Morozowski finished 2-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI, giving him nine total bases over the weekend. The Generals rallied from a series deficit for the first time in 2018 to secure the comeback win in the set with Chattanooga.
Right-hander Jon Duplantier (4-1, 2.14 ERA) picked up the win with 5 2/3 innings of work and one run allowed. Duplantier's defense ended the first three frames on double plays, helping the Arizona Diamondbacks' top prospect out of some tight spots. Kirby Bellow, Bud Jeter, and Miguel Aguilar close the series with 3 1/3 scoreless innings without allowing a hit to Chattanooga.
