Jackson, Tenn. - The Arizona Diamondbacks announced Organizational Players of the Month for April on Monday. Southpaw Gabriel Moya was honored as Jackson's top pitcher, while outfielder Victor Reyes was named the Double-A team's top position player. Both players just wrapped up their first month in Double-A. In Triple-A, former General Ketel Marte was named Reno's Player of the Month.
Both players honored as the organization's overall player and pitcher of the month play for the Class A Kane County Cougars. Outfielder Marcus Wilson posted an OPS of 1.166 en route to being named Player of the Month, while righty Jon Duplantier did not allow a run in 20.1 innings to earn Pitcher of the Month honors.

Moya, 22, was sensational throughout April for the Generals. He allowed runs in just one of nine outings, picking up four saves while posting a 1.50 ERA. He struck out a batter in every appearance, punching out 21 batters compared to just five walks in 12 innings of work. Opponents hit just .146 against him.

Reyes, 22, is leading the Southern League in batting average through Monday's game. The switch-hitter posted a .346 mark in April with six doubles, two triples, a home run and 14 runs batted in. He had seven multi-hit games in the month and picked up a knock in 16 of the 20 games he played in. Like Moya, Reyes in his first season at the Double-A level after spending 2016 with the Visalia Rawhide.
Ketel Marte, 23, finds himself back in the same organization as Jackson after being traded from Seattle to Arizona along with fellow Former General Taijuan Walker in the offseason. With Triple-A Reno, Marte hit .398 in the first month of the season with seven doubles, a triple and three stolen bases. He only struck out one more time than he walked in April. Marte hit .302 in 2014 with the Generals as a Mariners prospect, earning a spot on the Mid-Season and Post-Season Southern League All-Star teams.
Every month during the season, the Diamondbacks Player Development staff chooses the player and pitcher most deserving of the honors based on nominations from coaches at each affiliate along with input from the Minor League coordinators.
