Nogosek Named BC Relief Pitcher of the Month

Right-hander notches seven saves in the season's opening month

Greenville, SC - Greenville Drive right-handed pitcher Stephen Nogosek has been recognized by the South Atlantic League as the winner of the inaugural BC Relief Pitcher of the Month for April. Nogosek recorded a league-high seven saves during April while logging a 2.77 ERA and a 1-0 record in nine appearances.

Greenville, SC - Greenville Drive right-handed pitcher Stephen Nogosek has been recognized by the South Atlantic League as the winner of the inaugural BC Relief Pitcher of the Month for April. 
Nogosek recorded a league-high seven saves during April while logging a 2.77 ERA and a 1-0 record in nine appearances. He struck out 17 hitters over 13 innings of work in that time frame.
The Roseville, California native is currently two saves ahead of the nearest competitor in the South Atlantic League, and his 10 games finished is tied for the most in the league.
A sixth-round selection out of the University of Oregon in the 2016 Draft, Nogosek is currently ranked by Baseball America and MLB Pipeline as a top-30 prospect in the Red Sox organization.
