LANSING, Mich. - Griffin Conine singled in Gabriel Moreno to end a 21-inning scoreless streak, but that was the Lansing Lugnuts' (4-7, 36-44) only run in a 4-1 loss to the Bowling Green Hot Rods (9-2, 48-33) on Monday night at Cooley Law School Stadium.

Izzy Wilson's two-run single capped a four-run fourth inning off Lansing starter Troy Watson (Loss, 2-2), the Hot Rods' only offense - and the only offense they would need.

After being blanked for the final six innings on Saturday night in a 4-3 loss and entirely shut out on Sunday in a 3-0 loss, the Lugnuts finally broke back on the scoreboard in the sixth inning against Bowling Green starter Easton McGee, thanks to Moreno's second double of the game. Conine followed with a chopper through the right side of the infield drawing the Nuts within 4-1.

McGee (Win, 6-2) finished seven innings, allowing six hits - including two doubles apiece from Moreno and Hagen Danner - while walking one and striking out six.

The Nuts threatened in the bottom of the ninth against Joel Peguero (Save, 7), with Rafael Lantigua 's one-out double putting runners at second and third and bringing the potential tying run to the plate. Peguero then struck out Hunter Steinmetz and Reggie Pruitt to end the game.

In defeat, the Lugnuts bullpen fared well: Sean Rackoski pitched three scoreless innings and Will McAffer followed with two scoreless innings.

Shortstop Otto Lopez finished 0-for-4, ending his team-high on-base streak at 30 games.

The Lugnuts finished their seven-game homestand with a 2-5 record, swept in three games by Bowling Green after splitting a four-game series with Lake County.

The Nuts play at the Great Lakes Loons each of the next two nights, returning home for back-to-back LAFCU Fireworks shows on July 4th and 5th.
