Manchester, NH - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (32-18) scored five runs in the sixth inning and took the series opener, 11-2 on Tuesday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Portland has dropped three of four to the Fisher Cats this season.

Portland got off to a good start, scoring twice off Josh DeGraaf (W, 1-1). Jantzen Witte had an RBI, and Josh Ockimey blasted a solo-homer (#6) to right field. DeGraaf earned the win, working 5.2 innings on five hits, two runs, no walks and eight strikeouts.
Teddy Stankiewicz (4-5) took the loss for the 'Dogs, allowing seven runs on 11 hits over 5+ innings.
New Hampshire's Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the minor league's top hitter, homered and knocked in three runs. Guerrero snapped a 2-2 tie with a two-run homer to centerfield in the third.
The Fisher Cats scored five times in the sixth inning to put the game away. Gunner Heidt, Max Pentecost, and Harold Ramirez all had RBI singles for the 'Cats.
Josh Smith made his '18 debut with the Sea Dogs and allowed four runs (two earned) on three hits over two innings pitched.
Chad De La Guerra and Witte each had two hits for Portland. Trevor Kelley pitched a perfect eighth.
The Portland Sea Dogs and New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays affiliate) play the middle game of their three-game series on Wednesday night beginning at 6:35 PM from Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Portland has righty Mike Shawaryn (2-5, 3.75) on the mound. The Fisher Cats counter with RHP Justin Dillon (First start).
