NASHVILLE - The Storm Chasers suffered a power outage on a rainy evening in Nashville, enduring a 2nd consecutive shutout loss in a 4-0 defeat on Wednesday night at First Tennessee Park.

Nashville scored in the bottom of the 1st against Josh Staumont . Jaycob Brugman walked, and with 1 out, Matt Olson doubled to right field, scoring Brugman for a 1-0 lead.
The Sounds tacked on another in the 2nd, as Staumont walked Ryan LaMarre, Kenny Wilson, Melvin Mercedes, and Jaycob Brugman consecutively to force home a run. Staumont escaped further trouble by inducing a double play out of Franklin Barreto.
In the bottom of the 5th, Barreto doubled, went to 3rd on a groundout, and scored on a fielder's choice hit into by Matt Chapman, making it 3-0 Nashville.
Staumont (L, 3-4) labored through 5 frames, allowing 3 runs, 2 hits, and 7 walks. He struck out 6.
The Chasers, meanwhile, failed to make headway against Nashville starter Paul Blackburn (W, 3-4). Omaha put the leadoff batter on base in 6 of the first 7 innings, but failed to bring any of them home.
Blackburn allowed 5 hits in 7 scoreless frames, while striking out 6 and walking 2.
Mark Peterson pitched a scoreless inning in the 6th, but was touched for a run in the 7th. Melvin Mercedes singled and was balked to 2nd; he advanced to 3rd on a ground ball, and scored on a wild pitch, giving the Sounds a 4-0 advantage. Peterson would pitch a run-free bottom of the 8th to complete a strong relief appearance.
Tucker Healy worked a scoreless 8th inning for Nashville, and Simon Castro tossed the 9th to complete another combined shutout, stretching Omaha's scoreless streak to 18 innings.
The Chasers continue the series in Nashville tomorrow. Omaha's starter is to be determined, while Nashville will throw RHP Zach Neal (1-2, 3.89). First pitch will be at 6:35.
