On a rehab assignment in Jacksonville, Miami Marlins right-hander Elieser Hernandez made his Double-A debut, going the first five innings. He struck out four batters and walked one, allowing three hits. The only run against him was Blue Wahoos left fielder Brian O'Grady's first-inning leadoff home run down the right-field line.
Jax Jumbo Shrimp Highlights - April 29, 2018
The Jumbo Shrimp (11-12) overcame the 1-0 deficit in the bottom of the fourth inning against Pensacola right-hander Jesús Reyes. Second baseman Isan Díaz walked, center fielder Monte Harrison reached on a bunt single, and first baseman Eric Jagielo hit a one-out RBI single to right field. After Reyes hit third baseman Brian Schales with a pitch to load the bases, left fielder Kyle Barrett lined a sacrifice fly to left field to make it 2-1. Harrison led off the sixth inning with a home run to the left field berm - his second home run of the season and in the first four games of the series. Reyes lasted seven innings, allowing three earned runs on four hits and one walk with five strikeouts.

Jacksonville right-hander Kolton Mahoney pitched scoreless sixth and seventh innings and began the eighth inning with a 3-1 lead. Pensacola third baseman Taylor Sparks hit a leadoff single, and O'Grady tied the game with a one-out, two-run home run to right field. O'Grady has hit four home runs in the series, each one tying a game or giving Pensacola the lead.

After Jacksonville right-hander Marcus Crescentini (1-2) pitched a scoreless top of the ninth inning, right fielder John Norwood and Jagielo hit consecutive singles to put runners at first and third bases in the bottom of the inning with no outs against right-hander Robinson Leyer (1-1), whose wild pitch moved Jagielo to second base. An intentional walk to Schales loaded the bases. Left-hander Brennan Bernardino struck out Barrett before Othman's fly-ball single to the right field wall.
