P-Nats Reschedule Star Wars: Episode I 20th Anniversary Night and Harry Potter Day for Weekend of May 25th/26th

Woodbridge, VA---Despite rainouts that washed out the Potomac Nationals' Celebrations of the 20th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, and Harry Potter Day this past weekend, the organization has rescheduled both events for the last weekend in May!
Saturday night's Star Wars Night will now be part of Potomac's game vs. the Frederick Keys (Baltimore Orioles) on Saturday, May 25th, while Harry Potter Day will follow one day later on Sunday, May 26th.

Throughout the course of Star Wars Night, fans will witness on-field lightsaber battles and pod racer contests. Fans can enter an on-field costume contest and enjoy a night full of the sights and sounds from Star Wars. In addition, all fans that show up in Star Wars attire will be eligible to purchase a $5 discounted ticket.
Likewise, on Saturday, May 25th, the first 1,000 fans to Northwest Federal will receive an Adam Eaton "Mighty Mouse" bobblehead, presented by Northwest Federal Credit Union. After the game, fans can participate in the tennis ball toss, presented by Dicks Sporting Goods, with a chance to win a cash prize if they can land a tennis ball in the Northwest Federal Credit Union cash bucket in the outfield As always, kids can run the bases after every Saturday night home game, presented by Glory Days Grill. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35pm, while gates are set to open at 5:00pm.
Harry Potter Day was also rained out this past weekend, but it has been rescheduled for Sunday, May 26th. As the P-Nats will continue their series with the Keys, Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium will turn back into the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy for fans of all ages. Seating sections will be sorted into houses, with broom races, costume contests, wand-making stations, and more. Fans should be on the lookout for a hidden golden snitch at the ballpark, as whoever finds the golden snitch will receive a special P-Nats prize! All fans with a scar on their face (lightning bolt or otherwise) are eligible to purchase a discounted $5 ticket from the box office.
In addition to Harry Potter Day on Sunday, the P-Nats are proud to support our military and will wear special Military Appreciation jerseys for every Sunday home game, presented by Northwest Federal Credit Union. The jerseys will be auctioned off on August 25th, with proceeds set to benefit the Women Veterans Interactive. It's also another Virginia529 Super Saver Sunday. Fans can show their Virginia529 Smart Savers Club Card to receive two free grandstand tickets to the game. As another Kids Day Sunday, the first 200 fans ages 12 and under will receive a free hot dog and drink, as well as receive autographs from P-Nats players and play catch on the field after the game. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05pm, while gates are set to open at 12:00pm.
*Any fans with tickets for either Saturday, 5/4, or Sunday, 5/5, can exchange their tickets for any other 2019 Potomac Nationals' home game, except July 4th. In addition, any students/schools who didn't exchange their bookmarks for Sunday's Reading Program may use their bookmark for any of the three remaining Reading Program dates.
