Bridgewater, NJ – The Somerset Patriots (3-4, 47-29) shut out the Bowie Baysox (5-2, 32-44) by a final score of 1–0 before 7,340 fans on Monday night at TD Bank Ballpark.

Michael Beltre (6) put the lone run of the night on the board with a solo home run to right field in the bottom of the third. It was Beltre’s third straight game with a home run.

Sean Boyle (5-4) was stellar in seven scoreless innings and struck out seven batters en route to the win. Ryan Watson (5-3) allowed an earned run in five frames of work to suffer the loss. Derek Craft (5) notched the save after he whiffed the final two batters of the game.

Over the course of the game, Patriots pitchers stranded 14 Bowie runners on base.

The 2022 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford will continue at home on Wednesday, July 6 with a 7:05 pm game against the Baysox at TD Bank Ballpark.
