LF Luke Tendler drilled a 2-run HR (#1) in the top of the 8th-inning to give the PawSox a 4-3 lead, but reliever Jake Cosart was touched for 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th (his lone inning of work) to suffer the loss. 2B Esteban Quiroz smacked a solo HR (#2) in the 9th-inning to pull the Sox back within a run. Quiroz also had a double and scored 2 runs while RF Cole Sturgeon had 2 singles and 1 RBI.
Teddy Stankiewicz started for the Sox and allowed 2 runs over 4-innings. Trey Ball had a strong relief outing giving up just 1 run in his 3-innings of work.
The PawSox are off on Sunday before resuming action on Monday at Rochester in Lee County, FL.
