DES MOINES, IA – Outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong is expected to make his Triple-A Debut with the Iowa Cubs this week as they take on the Toledo Mud Hens at Principal Park.

Crow-Armstrong, the Chicago Cubs No. 1 overall prospect according to MLB.com, has played in 73 total games this year, all with Double-A Tennessee. Over that span, the outfielder is batting .289 (86-for-298) with 19 doubles, 14 home runs and 60 RBI with the Smokies.

The 21-year-old was originally drafted with the 19th overall pick in the first round of the 2020 draft by the New York Mets. He was traded to Chicago on July 30, 2021, for Javier Báez, Trevor Williams and cash.

Crow-Armstrong played in this year's MLB All-Star Futures Game, going 0-for-2 with a strikeout. Entering the series against the Mud Hens, the outfielder is the No. 7 overall ranked prospect in all of baseball by MLB.com.
