‘Pigs Win Season-High Fifth Straight in Buffalo

Buffalo, New York (August 20, 2026) – A two-run homer for Kameron Misner in the fourth inning put the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (25-22, 60-62) up for good as they won their fifth straight game in a 7-5 triumph over the Buffalo Bisons (25-23, 60-63) Thursday night at Sahlen Field.

A Peyton Williams solo homer in the second inning got Buffalo on the board first but two-out RBI singles for Colby Thomas and Dylan Moore saw the ‘Pigs jump ahead in the top of the third.

Buffalo counterpunched straight away, plating a pair in the last of the third on a Yohendrick Piñango sacrifice fly and Nick Goodwin RBI base hit before Misner’s two-run blast in the fourth put the ‘Pigs ahead for the long haul.

A Carlos Mendoza RBI single in the sixth got the Bisons to within a run, but two insurance runs for the ‘Pigs in the ninth thanks to an Otto Kemp RBI triple and Carter Kieboom RBI single gave the ‘Pigs breathing run.

Those runs proved handy as Buffalo got a two-out RBI single from Sean Keys in the ninth to bring the tying run to the plate, but Lou Trivino (S, 6) managed to get the final out by retiring Piñango.

In his ‘Pigs debut, Casey Lawrence (W, 1-0) gave up four runs over 5.2 frames, but earned the win while Deveraux Harrison (L, 3-5) allowed three runs in three innings of relief to take the loss for the Bisons.

The IronPigs and Bisons continue their series on Friday, August 21st with first pitch slated for 6:35 p.m. The ‘Pigs starter is TBD while Richard Gallardo goes for Buffalo.
