Four Salt Lake pitchers combined to allow only one run, as the Bees edged the Tacoma Rainiers 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Starter John Lamb allowed seven hits, but only one run in three and two-third innings. Tacoma took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning on an RBI single by John Andreoli, but Ralston Cash struck out Danny Muno to leave the bases loaded. Jose Miguel Fernandez delivered a two out, two run single in the fifth to give the Bees a 2-1 lead. After that, the Salt Lake bullpen took over, as Cash, Taylor Cole and Eduardo Paredes combined to allow no runs on just one hit over the final five and one-third innings and retiring the final 13 Tacoma batters.
Cash (4-2) earned the win, as he worked two and one-third innings and gave up just one hit and no runs with three strikeouts and no walks. Cole set down all six batters he faced and Paredes tossed a three up, three down ninth inning to pick up his third save of the season. David Fletcher led the Bees with two hits and he extended his hitting streak to eight games. The Bees are now a season high twelve games above .500 with a 35-23 record and have a five and one-half game lead over second place Albuquerque in the Pacific Southern Division.
