Summary
Binghamton Rumble Ponies starting pitcher Anthony Kay struck out 10 Akron RubberDucks and surrendered only one hit over six innings to lead Binghamton to a 16-3 win on Monday at Canal Park in Akron.

Turning Point
The Rumble Ponies opened the scoring with a two-run second inning, which was aided by a pair of RubberDucks' fielding mishaps. With one out Arismendy Alcantara reached on a catcher's interference call. After he advanced on a groundout, he scored when Akron second baseman Alexis Pantoja made a high and wide throw on Kevin Kaczmarski's grounder, making it 1-0 Binghamton. The second run came two batters later. After Kaczmarski stole second base and Braxton Lee walked, former RubberDuck Sam Haggerty singled in Kaczmarski to make it 2-0.
Mound Presence
Akron starter Sam Hentges struggled again, allowing six runs (four earned) on five hits and four walks in three innings pitched. Matt Whitehouse relieved him and allowed four earned runs on four hits in 2.2 innings. Luke Eubank relieved Whitehouse in the sixth and he allowed four unearned runs on five hits in two innings. Finally, Dalbert Siri came on in the eighth inning and he gave up two earned runs on three hits in 1.1 innings. Kay was dominant for Binghamton, going six innings, allowing one hit, walking three and striking out 10. He fanned seven of the first nine Akron batters.
Duck Tales
The RubberDucks' offense was held off the board until a three-run eighth inning. Connor Marabell and Pantoja led off the inning with consecutive walks. Jorma Rodriguez singled to right to load the bases and Mitch Longo's infield single got Akron on the board. Daniel Johnson followed Longo with a bases-loaded walk to force in the second RubberDucks' run. The final run came two batters later when Li-Jen Chu also drew a bases-loaded walk. Both Marabell and Pantoja went 1-for-2 with a run scored and two walks. Pantoja added a ninth-inning double.
