RHP Kendeglys Virguez opened the game on the mound for the Sens. He escaped a one-out bases-loaded jam for a scoreless frame.
LHP Alex Clemmey (W, 4-6) came on in the second. He allowed two runs on a walk and two hits in his first inning, and Richmond jumped out to a 2-0 lead.
Harrisburg responded in the bottom of the inning. Caleb Lomavita tripled off the centerfield fence with one out. Ethan Petry drove him in with a groundout to third to cut the deficit to 2-1.
Clemmey escaped a bases-loaded jam in the third with a 4-6-3 double play to hold the score.
In the bottom of the fourth, still trailing 2-1, Elijah Green came up following two quick outs. He fell into an 0-2 hole, worked the count full, then blasted a solo homer to leftfield to tie the game 2-2.
Green has now homered in back-to-back games.
Lomavita reached on an infield single following the homer. Petry came up and hit a pop-up in foul territory near the plate. Richmond's Sabin Ceballos came racing in from first base to make the catch, but the ball hit off his mitt.
Petry had another chance and launched a two-run homer out to left-centerfield to put the Senators in front 4-2.
Harrisburg had only two hits the rest of the way, but the pitching staff held the Squirrels in check.
