Sea Dogs Trounce Senators Sunday 12-2, Finish with Series Split

PORTLAND, Maine (Aug. 2, 2026) — The Sea Dogs ran away with Sunday's game, scoring eight runs in the sixth and beating the Senators 12-2. Portland took the last two games of the series to finish with a 3-3 split.
RHP Riley Maddox (L, 2-1) threw three scoreless innings to start but hit trouble in the fourth. A single and two walks loaded the bases. The third walk of the inning brought home a run.
Then the Sea Dogs' Matt Fraizer cleared the bases with a double off the Maine Monster to lead 4-0.
In four innings of work, Maddox allowed the four runs on three hits, four walks and six strikeouts. The six punchouts ties his Double-A high mark.
The Sens got on the board in the sixth, loading the bases with one out. Ethan Petry singled to left to score Johnathon Thomas and cut the deficit to 4-1.
Portland's Gage Ziehl then retired the next two hitters to strand the bases loaded and limit Harrisburg to just the one run.
In the bottom of the sixth, after RHP Yeuris Jimenez retired the first batter, the next eight hitters all reached base and scored. Ronald Rosario capped the rally with a three-run homer to lead 12-1.
Jimenez was credited for six of the runs. RHP Blake Brown was credited for two, eventually getting the final two outs of the inning after the Rosario homer.
In the eighth, Branden Boissiere homered to deep rightfield to make the score 12-2.
During his 12-game hitting streak, Boissiere's gone 21-for-45 (.467) with three homers, nine doubles and 16 RBIs.
RHP Jhancarlos Lara tossed a scoreless eighth inning with two strikeouts.
In the series, the Senators issued a total of 37 walks and hit three batters.
Harrisburg now heads to Bowie, Md., for a seven-game series with the Chesapeake Baysox (Baltimore Orioles). The series starts Tuesday, August 4, 6:35 p.m.
