The IronPigs make their final trip to the Salt City for a three-game set beginning tonight at 6:35 p.m.

PITCHING MATCHUP

Drew Anderson will take the mound in the opener for the Pigs against Phillips Valdez. The pitching matchup is presented by Allentown Family Foot Care, which provides the latest in medical and surgical treatments of the entire foot and ankle. Visit affc.com for more information.
Anderson is 8-4 on the season and has a 3.80 ERA in 16 starts for Lehigh Valley. The 24-year-old last pitched August 15 against Durham. Although only allowing one run over 5.2 innings, he took the loss in the Pigs 2-0 defeat. Valdez is making his third start and fourth appearance of the year against Lehigh Valley. He has not lost a start since July 22 against Louisville and is 2-0 in four starts since.

LAST GAME

After leading by three runs midway through the finale of their four-game series, Lehigh Valley couldn't contain the Indianapolis Indians, and eventually fell 15-6 in ten innings. Fortunately, the Pigs still maintain their nine-game lead over the IL North Division, and, thanks in part to a Scranton-Wilkes Barre loss, see their Magic Number shrink to six.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The IronPigs have earned at worst a split of the season series against the Chiefs. Lehigh Valley has won eight games against Syracuse this season. They have played five games against the Chiefs on the road this season and have won four.
The IronPigs magic number to clinch the IL-North is now at 6! For each IronPigs win and RailRiders loss, the magic number will continue to decrease.
