Evan Alexander finished 3-4 with two doubles and two RBI for the pinstirpers.
The Braves got into the score column first in the top 3rd. Alan Crowley reached base on a leadoff walk and stole 2nd to move into scoring position. He came around to score after Raysheandall Michel slapped a one out single past the drawn in Yankees' infield to make it 1-0.
Jeffrey Ramos worked base on a one out walk to put runners on 1st and 2nd before Bush sent a two RBI double into the left centerfield gap to give the Braves a 3-0 advantage.
Alexander doubled home Leobaldo Cabrera in the bottom of the 3rd to trim the Yankees' deficit to 3-1. Eduardo Torrealba followed with a base hit up the middle to score Alexander and make it a 3-2 game.
The Braves added two more in the top of the 4th on a two run homer from Crowley that gave the Bravos a 5-2 advantage.
The Yankees rallied in the bottom of the 4th to even the score. Victor Rey and Cabrera stroked back-to-back singles to score two runs and put the Yankees back within one. Alexander followed with a double to center that scored Ricky Surum to tie the game at 5-5.
Danville reclaimed the lead in the top of the 5th on a solo homer from Bush. Bush's solo blast was his 9th big dinger of the year.
Riley Delgado sent a sac fly to center that scored Griffin Benson in the top of the 6th that made it 7-5.
The Yankees added a run in the bottom of the 8th. Eric Wagaman singled with two outs and later scored on a single by Cuevas to make it bring the Yankees back within one run.
Braves reliever Landon Hughes stayed on the shut the door in the bottom of the 9th. He was credited with his fifth save of the season.
Jacob Belinda (5-0) earned the win after pitching 4.2 innings in relief. He surrendered three earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out four.
Wellington Caceres (2-2) took the loss after allowing two earned runs on three walks and two strikeouts in 2.1 innings of work.
The Yankees hit the road for their final six games to conclude the regular season. They will be back in action at Calfee Park over the Labor Day weekend.
