Pulaski Yankees Win 7th Straight Series

The Pulaski Yankees took down the Kingsport Mets by a 9-5 score on Friday night. The victory marked the 7th straight series win for the pinstripers.
The Yankees were led by Victor Rey who picked up three hits and two RBI.
Pulaski claimed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 2nd on a solo shot from Frederick Cuevas.
The Yankees busted the game open in the bottom of the 3rd with an eight run outburst. Rey and Andy Diaz opened the inning with back to back singles. Pablo Olivares followed with a walk to load the bases.
Jesus Bastidas delivered with a bases clearing double into the right centerfield gap to make the score 4-0.
A one out walk to Steven Sensleyended the night of Mets starter Garrison Bryant. Bryant was tagged with the loss to drop his season record to 0-4. In 2.1 innings pitched he surrendered four hits to go along with three walks and seven earned runs.
The Yankees offense continued their onslaught against Mets reliever Yeudy Colon.
A walk to Cuevas loaded the bases and another free pass to Danienger Perez allowed Dermis Garcia to score to make it 5-0. Colon then balked which allowed Sensley to trot home to make the score 6-0.
Later in the inning Rey laced a two RBI double into left to give the Yankees a comfortable 9-0 advantage.
Kingsport got on the board in the top of the 4th on an RBI single from Dan Hoy to make the score 9-1.
Yankees starter Wellington Caceres was chased from the game in the top of the 5th. Rigoberto Terrazas smoked a double off the right field wall to lead off the inning. Jeremy Vasquezsingled into left and Juan Uriarte followed with a bloop single to score Terrazs to make the score 9-2.
Chad Green took over on the mound following Uriarte's base hit. With one out Dionis Paulino grounded out to short which allowed Vasquez to cross the plate to make it 9-3. A wild pitch later in the inning allowed Uriarte to score and cut the Mets deficit to 9-4.
Martin picked up his first win of the season. In two innings of work he surrendered no earned runs.
The Mets were held scoreless in the 7th and 8th thanks to Jose Pujols. Pujols struck out five hitters in his two innings of work.
Kaleb Ort came on to finish off Kingsport in the 9th. Hoy scored on a Vasquez single but Ort kept the damage to one run to close the door on a 9-5 Yankees win.
The Yankees will host the Burlington Royals tomorrow night in the first of a three-game set. First pitch is slated for 7pm.
