CLINTON, IOWA - Yojhan Quevedo's 11th-inning solo home run pushed the Clinton LumberKings to a 2-1 walk-off win Saturday against the Cedar Rapids Kernels at Ashford University Field. The LumberKings tied this four-game series at 1-1 with the extra-inning triumph.
Hank Morrison powered Cedar Rapids (4-6, 43-37) to a 1-0 lead during the second inning. Clinton's Robert Dugger struck out the side within the opening stanza, but Morrison crushed Dugger's first pitch of the second for a leadoff solo shot to left field. It was Morrison's third career home run and his second round-tripper in as many days.

In the fifth, Clinton (3-7, 34-43) evened the score at 1-1. The LumberKings escaped a bases-loaded jam in the top of the frame to keep the contest close. In the bottom of the inning, Jhombeyker Morales reached on a one-out single coupled with an error and moved to third base after a bunt single from Nick Zammarelli III. Two batters later, Bryson Brigman singled off Clark Beeker to drive in Morales and tie the game.
Neither side could break the tie over the next several innings. The best scoring chance before extra innings came in the bottom of the eighth. Brigman hit a leadoff single and got as far as third base due to a throwing error, but he was stranded in scoring position.
Quevedo won the game for Clinton during the 11th. Luis Rengifo led off with a fly out ahead of Quevedo, who followed by hitting a 1-1 pitch from Patrick McGuff over the left-field wall to give Clinton a 2-1 walk-off victory.
Jeffeson Medina (4-0) claimed the victory after posting two shutout frames within extra innings. McGuff allowed one run in one-third of an inning and fell to 0-2.
